Our Hands Are Small – Our Dreams Are Big

This Danish/Palestinian partnership aimed to engage vulnerable and marginalised Palestinian young people in cultural activities as to create dialogue, change and reflection.

This Danish/Palestinian partnership aimed to engage vulnerable and marginalised Palestinian young people in cultural activities as to create dialogue, change and reflection. A theatre and film production was launched to involve these young minds from the occupied Palestinian territories in cultural activities and to bring their personal stories on stage, to gain common understanding and accept among the people in this area and to increase reflection and participation in democratic processes.

The production focused on developing and professionalising the youth’s own stories and creativity to be able to present it on the stage. The stories were then presented in short vignettes. The young people who participated in developing the show, have had the opportunity to work with seasoned theatre trainers and to produce everything on stage. From the stories to the music, dance and themes – it was all their own expressions and ideas.
